Ab ovo

adverb- from the beginning. from latin, literally "from the egg" An update ab ovo. It all started in the spring when Ben was accepted as an english assistant at the Academy of Montpellier. I decided that I must come along as well. So we set out the morning of the 18th September. Flew to Toronto, where our connecting flight had mechanical problems, and we ended up sleeping on the cold hard floor of the Toronto airport. It was so romantic. Thank you Air Canada. We arrived in Paris, after having bonded with all the other strangers on the plane, who had the same terrible fate as us. We stayed in Paris with a lovely family who are friends of my second host family from last year. We flew around to the major tourist sights, before lugging our 4 enormous suitcases into an upper deck on the TGV ( French trains) This was quite the accomplishment. Then we had to take those same 4 suitcases on the TRAM when we arrived in Montpellier. At rush hour. Piece of cake. We arrived at our destination with out much further ado. We stayed with a co worker, of the brother, of friends, of my first host family; strangers in another word, who were extremely kind to us while we got ourselves organized. This is their dog. At this point we found out that we were in fact not to stay in Montpellier, but that Ben had been posted in Nîmes... Opps. No problem, just a little change in towns.. So we commuted many times on the train to Nimes, untill we had a place to live. We managed to find time as well to go to Savoy and see my host families, for a weekend. On October the 2nd, we moved in. I found a job at Wall Street Intitute as a receptionist/ lab teacher, not long after. This is Nimes, from our window, early in the morning.
